In 1970, Harlan Ellison was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to attend the PghLANGE science-fiction convention, which took place from July 17–19, 1970.
Role: He was the Guest of Honor at this convention.
Photo Evidence: A photo taken at PghLANGE in 1970 shows him sitting at the event.
The convention is often referenced in discussions of his 1970s career, during which he also released The Glass Teat and began work on “The Region Between”.
The backs of the photos read:

- The back of this one just has a signature on it. “Harlan Ellison.” It is in a different handwriting than the informational text of the other two.
